Citrix Synergy 2019 Recap
The ThinPrint team spent a few very successful days at Citrix’ global customer event, Citrix Synergy, in Atlanta, GA and is proud to return with a “Best of Show” award for its upcoming “ezeep for Azure” solution.
ezeep for Azure is a managed cloud printing solution that is easy to install directly from the Azure Marketplace and developed with the upcoming Windows Virtual Desktop in mind. Seamlessly integrated with Azure Active Directory, the print solution can be immediately available to the entire enterprise. The easy-to-use web console enables central management of the print environment without having to think about print data security, failover, printer drivers or print server operation.
Windows Virtual Desktops and the possibilities it offers for partners like Citrix, Igel, Stratodesk, CloudJumper and ThinPrint to offer additional features and value add have certainly been one of the most sought after topics at the event.
We have worked hard to that our ezeep solutions complement the advanced networking capabilities, robust management tools, and high-definition user experience optimizations provided by Citrix are with a comprehensive, enterprise-grade print experience.
Citrix is also joining the Windows Virtual Desktop bandwagon with Citrix Managed Desktops on Azure, a new type of WVD deployment managed from Citrix. Additionally they have introduced Citrix-SD WAN on Azure supporting Citrix Managed Desktops.
There are plenty of customers using Citrix’ on-premises solutions of course and we had exciting conversations with customers around the ThinPrint Hub that seamlessly connects a remote site’s or branch office’s print infrastructure into the on-premises Citrix infrastructure.
As Citrix is going after what is often referred to as the “general purpose user” instead of just those needing some kind of desktop virtualization we expect it to become ever more evident that printing remains one of the key elements of efficient, easy to use workflows.
We had a lot of fun at Citrix Synergy, met old friends, made new ones and enjoyed a lot of interesting conversations and are looking forward to keeping in touch until we meet again in Orlando next year.
